Mountain Magic | A Yoga & Big Sky Lake Retreat

Ariel Karass & Giulia Pline

June 11th-17th, 2016

Feathered Pipe Ranch

Come trade the hectic pace of the concrete jungle for the Big Sky Country. Rocky Mountains and a lakeside view, clean air, morning meditations, twice daily deep yoga sessions, spirit shaking 5 rhythm dance waves, locally grown and organic food (veg/non-veg options), starry night skies, cedarwood sauna sits, and hot tub soaks. 7 days, and 6 nights of pure bliss.

Each day will include a morning meditation, 2 yoga practices with afternoon sessions consisting of restorative, yin, or acro yoga, optional 5rhythms dance classes sprinkled in throughout the week, nature hikes, canoeing, bonfires, a trip to Helena, time to relax or take a swim in the lake, unwind in the hot tub or sauna, or delight in body work or massage.

Visit the Feathered Pipe website for further information on the ranch, it’s accommodations, activities, and more: http://featheredpipe.com

Retreat Tuition & Basic Accommodations:

Accommodations include all meals and use of all amenities – bathhouse, sauna, hot tub, as well as all the Feathered Pipe Ranch facilities and grounds. Tax included. Gratuity recommended by lodge. Bring extra money is you desire to delight in bodywork/massage, drink alcohol, or participate in outside activities.

Main Lodge (shared room/shared bath) - $1495

The main lodge has the character of western luxury of the last century with a huge, wood-beamed main hall and library with four adjoining spacious bedrooms. Each room sleeps three and each has its own bathroom. Staying in the main lodge has the advantages of immediate, 24-hour access to the main hall for personal early morning practice and close proximity to the Feathered Pipe kitchen and dining hall where our staff work their culinary magic.

Sai Condo (shared or single) -$1595

Sai Condo is nestled still farther back in the tall pines with a large floor to ceiling wall of windows and room for three. Both the Honeymoon Cabin and Sai Condo have heat, but Sai Condo lodgers will need to toddle off on a short walk to the beautiful bathhouse for restroom and shower facilities. Both cabins comfortably straddle the two worlds between nature living and the creature comforts of home.

Yurt & Tipi (shared or single) -$1595

The most requested lodging at the Feathered Pipe Ranch may be our yurt accommodations, and for good reason! With large, glass domes located at the center of the lattice-supported, canvas ceiling, brilliant, warm sunlight pours in during the day and offers a breathtaking view of the starry, starry sky at night. Nothing compares! Our yurts sleep two and feature raised wood flooring and an interior sealed from the external elements.

Our tipis offer you an open "eye to the sky" with canvas walls that shift color, light and shadow during daylight. Our tipi dwellers love falling to sleep on elevated cots inside toasty sleeping bags while gazing at the myriad sparkling stars spread across the crystal clear night sky and waking to a cathedral of bird songs welcoming in the new day. True, intimate connection with nature can be experienced in tipi living; it's clear why the Plains Indian tribes developed this perfect nomadic dwelling.

Chalet (double or single room/shared bath) - $1695

Chalet (double or single room/private bath) - $1795

The chalet offers spectacular views of the Ranch overlooking the lake and the northern Rocky Mountains stretching beyond. Rooms have been hand crafted with wood flooring, abundant soft lighting, wood-chinked, outer walls and central heating for the rare occasions when the wondrous, Montana summer nights become too chilly for your comfort. Private and shared bathrooms are available with a shared veranda for the upper floor and outer deck for the ground floor rooms.

Honeymoon Cabin (double or single room/private bath) - $1895

Up in the forest beyond Teachers’ Cabin, two more cabins are available for those who like being still more intimate to nature. The Honeymoon Cabin offers a rustic ambiance with a front porch and room for two with a private bathroom. Its proximity to the bathhouse allows you to take full advantages of sauna, hot tub and restful, healing massage before snuggling in for the night.

*$500 deposit secures your spot with the total due a month before departure. There are no refunds barring emergencies.

About your hosts:

Giulia Pline

As a B.F.A Dance major at The Boston Conservatory, I began practicing yoga to ungrip my tight hips. Now as a teacher at Kula Yoga Project in New York, I infuse my classes with the knowledge, detail and passion from my dance background. My intention is to provide a safe haven for brightness in the intellectual, anatomical, visceral and emotional aspects of the asana and breath practice in the teachings that I offer. The only thing I love more than the crazy New York vibe is getting out of the city into fresh air and nature, stargazing with s'mores in hand.

Ariel Karass

Yoga

The classes I lead are taught primarily in the vinyasa style with emphasis on alignment, therapeutic work, pranayama, bandhas, and thoughtful and creative sequences. My intention is to offer a practice that creates the space and clarity needed to not only promote health, strength, and wellness, but to help you build the bridge between your body and spirit.

5Rhythms (by Gabrielle Roth)

As a long-time student and now a teacher of the 5Rhythms®, I strive to lead people out of their thinking heads and into their dancing feet so that they can remember who they are without the chatter of the mind. Through the dance, we cultivate awareness to our moving bodies, the space we are in, the people around us, and open the investigation to our relationships with ourselves, another, and the collective. With practice, we give way for the dance to trance us, allowing ourselves to disappear and be found and be everything and nothing. The 5Rhythms® practice has the ability to take us on a cathartic experience of our own journey through life, one in which we can retrieve our soulful right to be at peace with what and who we are.

The 5Rhythms® is the fastest way I know into spirit.
