As a B.F.A Dance major at The Boston Conservatory, I began practicing yoga to supplement my dance training. Over time, yoga became a way for me to discover more about myself both physically and emotionally. Fast forward a few years and injuries later, I began more extensive studies in the anatomy and physiology of the body and how it links to movement. I left the dance and performing world behind, but infuse its knowledge, detail, somatic awareness, and passion into my work.

Through my various studies, I discovered Threes Physiyoga Method, a method that merges physical therapy with yoga. My group classes, workshops, and private lessons combine corrective exercise, functional mobility work, and knowledge from the physical therapy world with yoga & pranayama (breathing) practices. Working this way evolves and expands our movement and breath vocabulary and sheds light on how we can create more efficiency and clarity within our own individual mechanics, as well as rehabilitate and mitigate injuries and pains.

My curiosity about the body and optimal movement function and growth has led me to further my studies with movement, healing, and training methods such as Functional Anatomy Seminars, which has provided me with a special certification in mobility training, injury mitigation, and mechanics (FRCms). I am currently working on certifications with PRIDNS, and ELDOA.

As a Physiyoga teacher I have developed a series of resistance band and yoga workshops that integrate resistance and mobility work with yoga for greater proprioception, strength, awareness, and spaciousness in the yoga practice. I am currently teaching these workshops around NYC and other parts of the U.S. More info can be found on my website page: www.giuliapline.com/events.

I also teach a biweekly Banded Kula Flow class in NYC at Kula Yoga Project Soho where we explore how to make the yoga practice more modern, mobile, healthy, and inspired using resistance bands and traditional yoga postures with corrective exercises & functional mobility work.

Provide a safe haven for growth in the intellectual, anatomical, visceral, and emotional aspects of yoga and breathing practices. Classes are a melting pot of yoga & multidisciplinary styles of movement with the intention of discovering and unravelling the web of the body in an anatomically holistic way, creating the space for discernment and growth.

Are molded around individual needs, whether that is to rehabilitate areas of injury, facilitate stability for hypermobility, discover what joints or tissues move or do not move well, deconstruct inefficient movement patterns and habits, & much more. Together we will work with the intention of creating optimal neuromuscular connections and awareness through a combination of yoga, multidisciplinary movement, breath work, and prop use for greater proprioception and strength (therabands, therapy balls, yoga blocks, etc).
