ABOUT

As a former professional dancer, movement educator and yoga teacher of 12+ years, and current Doctorate of Physical Therapy student, I have always been fascinated by the body in motion.

 

My background in dance and experiences in healing from several traumatic injuries have led me to pursue rigorous and extensive studies in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and biomechanics. The years I spent healing and recovering from injury have provided me with a unique skill set and perspective that informs how I treat, teach, and work with others using movement as medicine.

 

I have taught both nationally and internationally, and my offerings include both group and private in person and online classes and programs that provide empathetic, intelligent, and thoughtful movement education through a multidisciplinary approach based in science.

PRIVATE LESSONS WITH ME:

Are molded around individual needs, whether that is to rehab or rehab injury, facilitate greater mobility with stability, train movement efficiency, build strength and endurance and so much more. Together we will work with the intention of creating optimal neuromuscular connections and awareness through a combination of yoga, multidisciplinary movement, mobility, breathing, strength building exercises, and prop use for greater proprioception (resistance bands, therapy balls, yoga blocks, etc).
