ABOUT

I began studying and practicing yoga to supplement my dance training during my time as a B.F.A Dance major at The Boston Conservatory. Yoga became a natural extension of dance for me, providing a different path to discover more about myself. Fast forward a few years and injuries later, I expanded how I view and teach yoga through my pursuit of extensive studies in movement & kinesiology, anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. I left the dance and performing world behind, but infuse its knowledge, detail, somatic awareness, and passion into my work. 

My desire to grow my teaching through greater knowledge and understanding of movement, training, and the body has led me to complete multiple courses with Threes Physiyoga Method, Gary Ward's AiMFunctional Anatomy Seminars, Kula Yoga Project, PRIDNS, and ELDOA.

As a Physiyoga teacher I have developed a series of resistance band and yoga workshops and weekly group classes that integrate resistance bands and mobility work with yoga for greater proprioception, strength, awareness, and connection in the yoga practice. My weekly resistance band and yoga group classes take place at Kula Yoga Project Soho where we explore how to make the yoga practice more modern, mobile, healthy, and inspired using resistance bands and traditional yoga postures with corrective exercises & functional mobility work.

MY GROUP CLASSES...

Provide a safe haven for growth in the intellectual, anatomical, visceral, and emotional aspects of yoga and breathing practices. Classes are a melting pot of yoga & multidisciplinary styles of movement with the intention of discovering and unravelling the web of the body in an anatomically holistic way, creating the space for discernment and growth.

PRIVATE LESSONS WITH ME...

Are molded around individual needs, whether that is to rehabilitate areas of injury, facilitate stability for hypermobility, discover what joints or tissues move or do not move well, deconstruct inefficient movement patterns and habits, & much more. Together we will work with the intention of creating optimal neuromuscular connections and awareness through a combination of yoga, multidisciplinary movement, breath work, and prop use for greater proprioception and strength (resistance bands, therapy balls, yoga blocks, etc).
